So you’re ready and raring to go for your Disneyland Paris park visit. But you might be wondering what you need to put in your park bag for a successful day! In this blog we’ll be sharing what we recommend you pack to make the most of your time in the parks.

What bag to take?

Before you figure out what you need to put in your bag, you need to pick out which bag you want to take! Bear in mind that whatever you choose you’ll be wearing for a potentially very long day, and will need to take it on and off multiple times because you will be asked to remove it for all rides.
If you like to travel lightly, some people get on very well with a waist pack (or bum bag, or fanny pack, or whatever it’s called where you live!). I personally find they can play havoc with the lower back but that’s me. I’d recommend instead either a small crossbody bag or a small back pack. The ever popular Loungefly backpacks can be a good option. I like a small crossbody bag from Pacsafe as well – this one has stood me in good stead in the parks: https://amzn.to/445unwK
Whatever you choose you might want to be able to secure your bag in a large crowd, such as the fireworks crowds or the bus queues in the evening. Sadly pickpockets have been known to visit in Disneyland Paris.
Mobile phone and charger

Your most essential tool for your park day is going to be your mobile phone. With it you can check queue times, mobile order, access your park tickets and premier passes, access dining reservations and more. And of course you can use it to take photos and pay for things!
Because of how important it is, your phone battery may take a hammering in the parks! As such a portable charger is key. We’ve had good results with Anker power banks like this one: https://amzn.to/4jyYMsi If you get stuck though you can hire portable chargers from kiosks under the train station in Disneyland Park.
Waterproofs and umbrellas

If it’s a wet day you’ll probably be wearing your raingear or waterproofs already. If not, pack something lightweight in your park bag!
The weather in Paris in changeable at best, and it’s best to be prepared for a shower just in case! I like a waterproof coat myself, but ponchos can be easier to pack, like these ones from Amazon: https://amzn.to/3EH1sEX Ken really likes the DryRobe ponchos like this as they’re really good quality – but they’re not the cheapest! https://amzn.to/42JTd2Q
Blister plasters

Taking over 15,000 steps is not uncommon in a Disney theme park day. This can be very hard on your feet, so be prepared!
If a blister strikes it’s best to have your own plasters – you can get multipacks of different sizes to help protect different areas of your feet. This way when a hotspot forms you can pull over, pop on a blister plaster, and then carry on with your day with minimal disruption! You can get a multipack of Compeed plasters on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3YPENgl
It’s also best to make sure people in your travel group, including little ones, share when they’re feet are hurting so you can pop a plaster on before blisters get any worse!
Painkillers

Those long park days aren’t just hard on feet! Sore backs, aching heads and twisted ankles can all happen. And when that takes place it’s best to have some painkillers at hand.
First Aid in the parks can give you single dose of painkillers in a pinch, but you won’t be able to buy packets of them without visiting a pharmacy! So in case of recurring pains we always prefer to have our own painkillers to hand. The ones pictured are pharmacy only, but you can get standard paracetamol (https://amzn.to/4lNRimD) and ibruprofen (https://amzn.to/42zQwCk) on Amazon. A note when buying any form of medications online – make sure you check beforehand that the medicine is suitable for you and your family, and that you are buying it from a reputable retailer!
Chap stick

This might just be a me problem, but every time I visit Disneyland Paris I end up with dry, sore lips!
This can be even worse in the summer in the heat, or in the winter with cold winds. Having a chap sticks or some other lip ointment on hand will help stave off chapped lips. We like the O’Keefe’s lip repair for regular application: https://amzn.to/44bjtpb and Blistex for very chapped lips: https://amzn.to/3Gop9Ck. And if, like me, you are prone to cold sores then have some Zovirax or other cold sore treatment on hand! I like the pump because it tends to stand up better to rattling around in a park bag: https://amzn.to/4jz0qKu
Water flavouring
Being a slight fizzy drink monster myself I just tend to drink those when in Disneyland Paris. But for those who don’t like them then bringing with you a small bottle of squeezy squash or flavour sachets you can add to water might be a bonus. (Squash isn’t commonly available in France either, so a pack of the Robinson’s squeezy squash can be helpful to have if it’s a kiddos favourite drink! https://amzn.to/3RDjzyy)
For any keen water drinkers in the family too, you might want to pack a reusable water bottle that can be filled at water fountains. The bottled water can be quite expensive! Disney sell a number of different reusable bottles, but a lot of people also like collapsible ones for being light-weight and easy to pack. The Hydraway bottles seem to be very popular: https://amzn.to/4jILHfm
Wet wipes and hand sanitiser

With thousands of visitors every day, it’s no wonder that germs spread quickly in Disneyland Paris. And Disney food can be messy, sticky or both!
As such we like to pack some hand sanitiser in our bag (we’ve found Purell very good and you can by small bottles quite cheaply: https://amzn.to/3GsUP9J), and some antibacterial wipes. They can help try and stave off some of the germs, and clean up sticky fingers too! You can by small packs of wipes in most supermarkets, or multipacks of travel antibacterial wipes online: https://amzn.to/3GqvGwi (Side note, a pack of tissues can also be very handy).
Other things you might want to consider
There are other items you might want to pop in your park bag, depending on the season.
In summer you’ll need sunglasses and sunscreen. In winter gloves and hand warmers might be more helpful! For those who might get overstimulated, fidget toys can help. And with little ones, distractions to keep them busy in lines such as games or toys could be very useful.
We hope that helps you plan you park day packing! Any essentials you think we’ve missed? Let us know in the comments!
