Everything coming to Disneyland Paris in 2026

If you ask anyone about Disneyland Paris in 2026, one topic will be on their lips – the opening of World of Frozen and Adventure Way in the Walt Disney Studios Park, and marking the park’s name change to Disney Adventure World. And of course that’s massive news! But it’s by no means the only thing to look forward to in Disneyland Paris in 2026. In this blog we’re sharing everything you need to know so you can get planning that 2026 trip.

Refurbishment of Disney Store and Annette’s Diner in Disney Village – 5th January

The changes are getting going early in Disneyland Paris in 2026! The works improving Disney Village a carrying on apace, and the next stage will see both Annette’s Diner and the Disney Store closing from 5th January.

Annette’s Diner will reopen later in the year with a newly refreshed interior, but still keeping those retro diner vibes that have been keeping people coming to this Disney Village staple for years.

Sadly we are permanently saying goodbye to the 90s retro vibes of the Disney Store next door to Annette’s, but this space will reopen later on in 2026 as Disney Wonders, a new store that from the concept art looks like it’ll fit in really well with the designs of the other Disney shops that opened in the Village earlier this year.

Refurbishment of Sequoia Lodge – starts in January

Disney Village isn’t alone in getting the refurbishment treatment! In January refurbishment works will kick off at the Sequoia Lodge hotel.

The refurbishment work will not only refresh the guest rooms but the public spaces of the hotel as well, bringing new life to the forest and woodland theme that this resort has had since it opened. A lot of folks on recent stays at Sequoia Lodge have said that the rooms are a bit tired, so it’s lovely to see this resort getting some TLC.

The good news is that Sequoia Lodge is staying open throughout the works as it’ll be carried out in stages. The bad news is that if you have a stay there in 2026, there’s a chance you’ll be able to see and hear the works going on, especially during the day. How disruptive the works will be remains to be seen! What we have noticed though is that at some points in 2026 the cost for Sequoia is a bit more reasonable than you’d expect for one of the mid-price hotels at Disneyland Paris, at some points of the year it’s really not much more than the value Hotel Cheyenne. So if you don’t mind the works you might have the chance to stay at this resort at a slightly cheaper price point. (Note I’m saying cheaper. It’s still not cheap!)

No word yet on how long the works will take but we’ll let you know if we hear anything!

New McDonald’s in Disney Village – early 2026

For some time now works have been taking place on the construction of a new McDonald’s building in the Disney Village. And it’s right next to the old one!

The new building offers a number of outdoor terraces as well as ample indoor seating, and will be the largest McDonald’s in France when it opens. Disney have also shared that the new restaurant will have ‘playful nods to Disneyland Paris’ and ‘will offer the best of McDonald’s and the most innovative services’ (their quotes from the news page!)

Considering the old restaurant has been reported as being very tired (and having a weird smell of vomit according to some folks!!), and the enduring popularity of McDonald’s, the new space will be a much needed boost to the Village! Once the new restaurant is open the old building is due to be demolished to create wider walking areas and add to the overall improved vibes of Disney Village.

Minnie’s Dream Factory – 7th February

It’s been some time now since the old Studio D building in the current Walt Disney Studios Park (soon to be Disney Adventure World) hosted a show. The most recent long-running show here was Mickey’s Dream Factory, but that’s now being reimagined to Minnie’s Dream Factory!

In the new show that opens on 7th February you can expect Minnie Mouse guiding Donald and Daisy Duck and Chip n Dale through the Dream Factory, accompanied by a lot of music, fun and special effects like bubbles. This space has held shows for some time appealing to the younger crowd and I’d expect the Dream Factory to follow suit! It’s also nice to have a new(ish!) attraction in this park prior to the Disney Adventure World transformation in March.

Million Splashes of Colour returns – 7th February – 6th September

Not to be outdone by its park sibling, on 7th February a Million Splashes of Colour returns to Disneyland Park!

A Million Splashes of Colour was a very popular parade and show that ran at Disneyland Paris in 2024. The show features a mini parade of floats featuring a large cast of Disney characters, and a show stop on the stages in front of the castle which features a wide range of Disney songs to enjoy.

We’d expect a Million Splashes of Colour to have at least 2 runs a day, the timings will work so it’s around the main parade time. It was a really great show so it’s great to see it coming back! It was wondered if the Music Festival from this year might return but that’s not the case, which is unsurprising considering several of the acts are migrating over to Disney Adventure World instead.

World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World – 29th March

Of course the biggest event of the year is going to be the transition of the Walt Disney Studios Park to Disney Adventure World on 29th March!

For the transition a number of new elements are opening on this day. For a detailed break down please see our previous blog. However here are the main points:

  • World of Frozen – this new immersive land will feature the Frozen Ever After ride, Anna and Elsa meet and greet, lagoon show, roaming characters, quick service dining and retail spaces
  • Raiponce Tangled Spin – this new ride on Adventure Way is a spinner attraction based around the lantern scene in Tangled. Think the teacups but way prettier!
  • Disney Cascade of Lights – The new nighttime show will take place on the lagoon at the end of Adventure Way, and will feature fireworks, drones, aquatic drones, and water projections.
  • Regal View Restaurant and Lounge – This new table service spot will host Disney Princess character meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner; as well as the first permanent lounge inside a Disneyland Paris park.
  • Adventure Way gardens – Adventure Way will host a number of gardens including a British themed garden, a Toy Story garden and a Tangled garden. They should provide some nice places to sit and explore in the park, something lacking at the moment!
  • Character meet and greets and experiences – outside of World of Frozen, you’ll also find a new Mickey and Minnie meet and greet on Adventure Way, with more character meetings and shows to follow (including some recycled from the Music Festival this year)
  • New dining spots – with the Frozen and Regal View locations there’ll be 14 new places to grab food in Disney Adventure World. Another much needed addition!

Expect the opening day and the Easter holiday just following it to be packed with people exploring the new spaces. But after the work taking place for so long it’s great that it’s finally opening!

Tower of Terror shop and covered queue – spring

The new parts of the park aren’t the only areas of the future Disney Adventure World getting some TLC! For some time now works have been taking place to improve the experience for guests ‘dropping in’ to the Tower of Terror.

A new covered portion of queue will include props and set pieces helping to bring to life the story of the attraction (and will provide more cover out of the rain, cold or sun which is a bonus!). A new gift shop will also open near by for folks to grab souvenirs. (We’re assuming the current gift shop for Tower of Terror will also remain open considering it’s the exit of the ride!).

At the moment the new shop is mooted for ‘early 2026’ and the extended queue by ‘spring 2026’. Suitably vague!

Reopening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – spring

But wait, there’s more! Also coming in spring 2026 is the refreshed Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride.

This ride has been closed since October 2026 to allow imagineers to update the projectors (also making the ride permanently 2D), adding a new scene to the queue, and adding more props and details. As one of the most popular rides in the current Studios park it’ll be great to see this back open, hopefully around the time of the World of Frozen opening to help soak up some of the extra guests in the park!

New scenes for the Molly Brown Riverboat – end of summer

With all the attention on its park sibling, the poor old Disneyland Park might be feeling a bit left out! So it’s great that attention is still being paid to update some of the classic attractions.

The Molly Brown Riverboat in Frontierland reopened in October 2025 after a massive refurbishment. The riverboat picks up guests at the Thunder Mesa Riverboat landing and takes them on a scenic tour of the Rivers of the Old West, and from the end of summer there’s going to be more scenes to enjoy! Specifically these scenes will feature animals, and they’re based on original drawings by legendary imagineer Marc Davies.

Considering we’ve recently seen the closure of the Riverboat and Rivers of America over in Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, it’s great to see that Disney is still updating another one of these classic riverboat attractions elsewhere.

Casa Giulia opening – late 2026

The further away a new opening is in a Disney resort, the more vague Disney gets with the dates. Opening in what is currently described as ‘late 2026’, Casa Giulia will bring a new Italian restaurant to Disney Village.

This large restaurant will occupy the space of the old Planet Hollywood, but this will be a completely new structure! (If you’ve been in Disney Village in any time in the last year you won’t have missed the construction walls and noise!) Over two floors guests will be able to enjoy Italian dishes in a ‘family friendly atmosphere’. There’ll also be a to-go space to grab pizza slices and Italian pastries, which is great for those with less time. I’d guess this’ll be like the relationship between La Comptoir and Brasserie Rosalie at the other end of the village, considering they’ll be owned by the same chain.

It’ll be interesting to see what this spot’s opening will do to the nearby small Italian Vapiano! But it’ll be great to have another large dining spot in Disney Village open for guests.

Pele Soccer – 2026?!

Disneyland Paris recently announced that a Pele Soccer store would be coming to Disney Village. The shop will offer an array of sports (particularly football / soccer of course!) themed merchandise, and will sit behind the newly reopened Sports Bar.

Considering construction on Pele Soccer was due to start after the Sports Bar’s reopening in November, it’s not likely it’ll be open any time soon – but for sports fans we’re crossing our fingers it’ll be open by the end of 2026.

If it doesn’t though the good news in Disney Village is that both Annette’s Diner and Disney Wonder should reopen by the end of the year.

What’s not coming in 2026

Concept art for a scene in the Lion King ride in Disneyland Paris
A Lion King land is coming to Disney Adventure World, but don’t expect to see it in 2026!

There’s a lot to look forward to in Disneyland Paris in 2026. But there’s still more to come beyond this point!

The biggest opening to come is the Lion King themed land that will also be sat around the Lagoon in Disney Adventure World. Construction has started, but as this’ll be a major construction area I don’t expect the Lion King to be open until 2027 at the earliest!

Construction work has also only just begun on the new Up themed swing chair ride coming to Disney Adventure World, to be sat opposite the Tangled Spin ride on Adventure Way. Considering that this is just a ride not a whole new land, and that Disney have another swing ride they can based the construction off of, I’d expect this to open before the Lion King area. There’s a small chance of this sneaking into late 2026, but realistically again I think it’ll likely open in 2027.

Also as noted above, the Disney Music Festival from this year is not returning in 2026. Instead some of the acts are shifting to Disney Adventure World, and a Million Splashes of Colour is taking its place instead.

So there we go, what’s coming to Disneyland Paris in 2026. It’s quite a lot, even without the major Disney Adventure World opening! There’s a chance of course that Disneyland Paris will announce more things coming to the parks in 2026 as time moves on, but this list should be accurate at the time of writing (December 2025).
